GTBank Installs 2 NCR Intelligent ATMs in Accra, Ghana
...In a bid to serve its customers and the general public well, Guaranty Trust Bank has installed two new 24-hour Visa-enabled ATMs in the busy areas of Korle Bu and the Ring Road near Kwame Nkrumah Circle.

These cash machines, which are strategically situated at the main exit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and in Pergah House on the Ring Road near Kwame Nkrumah Circle, do not only dispense money but also allow customers of the Bank to deposit cash if they so wish.

Other features of the machines are that they enable customers to check balances on their accounts, change their Personal Identification Numbers (PIN), request for cheque books, print mini statements as well as make transfers to other GTBank accounts.

The Group Head, Consumer Banking of GTBank, Mr. Anthony Mensah, in a statement before unveiling these ATMs said: “The installation of these cash machines at Korle Bu and Pergah House forms part of the Bank’s plan to bring our services closer to customers and the general public.

It is not only patients, their visitors or the hospital staff-members and users of the Pergah transport terminal who stand to benefit from these ATMs, but also residents, businesses, individuals and commuters in and around these areas are set to enjoy the convenience and reliability of our ATMs,” he added.

The Head of E-Settlement of the Bank, Mrs. Araba Ofori, explained that it is the intention of GTBank to provide ATMs in most strategic areas where it has no branches. “Korle Bu, Kwame Nkrumah Circle and other similar areas have the lure, and it is obvious that most of our customers and potential ones ply these areas daily - so we are committed to make our services easily accessible to them,” she stated.

Presently, apart from the 19 ATMs situated at all GTBank branches, there are seven offsite ATMs located at strategic areas across Accra: namely Korle Bu; Pergah House; University of Ghana, Legon Campus; Nyaho Clinic Road; Pantang Road; Kotoka International Airport; and East Legon near Trassacco Valley. Plans are far-afoot to increase this number to cover other areas in the country
